Procedures are very similar to the ones for the VTI STM.

1. Ground the piezos (switch to “OFF” on the box).
2. Open V1
3. Close 1K-NV (0%) and switch pumping line from pump to helium recovery.
4. Close UHV-sock NV (do not close the needle valve hard!) and switch pumping line from pump to helium recovery.
5. Close ion-pump gate valve.
6. Switch-off ion pump.
7. Open immediately gate valve to load-lock.
8. Switch off BA pressure gauge.
9. Before the sorb pump temperature rises above 77K, and when AT LEAST 500 mbar of He3 are back in the dump, use external sorb pump to collect all He3 out of the system. See procedure under.
